    Crystal Beach Texas

    A long stretch of sand domiciled along the State Highway 87 in Galveston County, Crystal Beach Texas is among the popular destinations in the state due to its opportunities for camping and fishing. Do not be surprised when you see people catching marine creatures in the surf while there are also some that take advantage of the rocks of North Jetty. In the summer, a lot of families flock in the area where there are a lot of vacation amenities offered. There is also an abundance of fresh seafood that you can choose to either take home with you or have it cooked in the nearby restaurants.

    Located in the middle of the Bolivar Peninsula, Crystal Beach Texas is part of the 27 mile long area. It has plenty of access marshes and mud flats where there are a variety of birds that thrive. Sometimes, the severe weather conditions reclaim the shore corners. There are also some that have gone wild albeit, there are also those that are still very ideal because of the tranquility. The nearness of Houston together with other urban cities has its own share of the advantages and disadvantages. One of which is that it is not far from industrial factories where it has plenty of environmental effects. As for the employees, it is very easy for them to easily escape for a vacation.

    The exact region where Crystal Beach Texas is situated is named after freedom fighter Simon Bolivar. It was initially visited by an unknown individual from Europe in 1528. Not long after, Spanish, American Indians and Mexican settlers build their communities. In the 1800's, the Anglo Republicans then followed. The port was a major venue for product smuggling and slave trade even after 1839 in the arrival of the first settlers. By 1872, the lighthouse was finished where it provided shelter to about 125 people when a devastating hurricane caught them in astonishment sometime in 1900.

    Presently, Crystal Beach Texas is now a resort town. In annual basis, the influx of visitors increase especially when there is temporary recession from school. Parents with their children spend a lot of time together as they frolic under the heat of the sun. They have discovered that their holidays are totally satisfying as they can also make friends with their other guests around. Collecting crabs have been one of the favorite activities of tourists. There is also the Aransas National Widlife Refuge where they can watch whooping cranes. For those who are raring to catch a glimpse of the playful dolphins, you can take your ferry ride. Nature trekking can also be realized at Padre Island National Seashore and Matagordo Island. All these and more will definitely make you want to go back over and over again.
