    Crystal Bernard

    An American singer and actress from Garland in Texas, Crystal Bernard began her career in entertainment through gospel music together with her older sister, Robyn. Their tracks included the Monkey Song where it was against evolution. The lyrics goes like "I am no kin to the monkey/ The monkey is no kin to me/ I do not know much about his ancestors but mine did not swing from a tree." There is also the Ecumenical Movement where it refers to initiatives aimed at global religious unification. Some lines are as follows, "They say that we should get together and all one big family/ Catholic, Protestant and Jew/ Buddhist, Muslim and Hindu/ I guess they want the devil too."

    Crystal Bernard landed on a big break when she was part of a primetime sitcom entitled Happy Days. When she played the waitress Amy Tompkins in It's A Living, it was her first shot to stardom. However, she is best recognized for her role as a strong- willed airport lunch- counter operator named Helen Chappel Hackett on Wings. She was a mainstay for seven years starting on 1990. She then moved on with her career as she portrayed the character of Courtney Bates in Slumber Party Massacre 2. On screen together with Kimberly McArthur and Juliette Cummins, she was highly identified by her shag hairstyle which she maintained for many years.

    As a spokesperson for the gym chain Q: The Sports Club, Crystal Bernard was at the peak of her success as an artist. She was spotted in various commercials across the United States. Aside from acting, she went back to where she originally embarked in the industry of performig arts. Her duet with former Chicago band member, Peter Cetera, in the ballad "Forever Tonight" was a major hit. She then released her solo albums, The Girl Next Door in 1996 and Don't Touch Me There in 1999. It still comprised some of the Christian genre which she worked hand in hand with her father while another with country artist, Billy Dean. He became renowned in the early 1990's with his appearance on Star Search where he later earned a recording contract with EMI- Capitol.

    Acquiring versatility, Crystal Bernard was also actively involved in theater. She was Annie Oakley in the Broadway revival of Annie Get Your Gun in 2001. She was also a cast of a Los Angeles production of Crimes of the Heart in 1999 and took part as Molly in Barbara's Wedding. It was staged at the Falcon Theater located in Burbank, California on 2005. She experienced several road tours that headed to the southern cities in the country. She also replaced Reba Mcintyre in Broadway for two months. Currently, she is residing in Beverly Hills, California.
